Privacy by design

CapQA checks and burns video in your browser. This page says what stays on your device, what leaves it and why. The binding version is the privacy policy.

What stays on your device

• The video file. The free check opens it in the tab and draws each platform's interface over its frames. Everything the check does to the picture runs there, on every visit, with no account.
• The burn. Studio burns the captions and encodes the finished files in your browser, on every plan. There is no render server to send footage to.
• Your recent deliveries. The short list on Studio's upload screen is kept in this browser only.

What leaves it, and where it goes

• Audio, for captions. Studio sends an audio extract — not the video — to Groq for speech-to-text, with your glossary terms as a spelling hint. The transcript comes straight back to your browser; we do not store the audio.
• Your account and your jobs. Email, plan, and each job's status, frame size, platform and stamp, stored in the EU. How long each is kept is in the privacy policy.
• What you attach to a review link. The QA report and transcript, and a preview video or delivery ZIP only if you choose to attach one.
• Payments. Card details go to Stripe, never to us.
• Analytics, only if you accept. Without consent the site keeps daily totals — a check ran, an account was created — with no identifier and no cookie.

How a certificate proves a file without holding it

When Studio burns a delivery, your browser computes the SHA-256 fingerprint of the finished file, and CapQA signs a certificate with that fingerprint, the stamp and the checks. The certificate page lets anyone drop the file they received: their browser computes its fingerprint and compares. The file is matched to its proof, and it never reaches CapQA.

What we never do

• Train AI models on your footage.
• Load ad networks or tracking pixels on the site.
• Publish, post or share anything for you.
